31DC2013 Day 21: Inspired By A Color

Heeeeey there glitter loves! How's it going? It's been a whole long week, huh? I'm just posting this now because sadly my index nail broke terribly!! And it hurt even more! This happened last Saturday and until this Wednesday my nail stopped hurting, I cut my other nails (The Nailasaurus style) so they would match and I painted them, so yeah I'm sorry I'm just posting this now.
Alright, now after my sad sad story here's my "Inspired By A Color" nail art. This goes for coloooor RED. But like in festive, holiday-esque, Christmas-y red. I was inspired by Cranberry Splash from last year's China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection, which is a red I love to wear by itself of with nail art or on my toes.

The red is China Glaze Cranberry Splash, the green is Color Club Rule Breaker and the white is China Glaze White On White.

For the thumb, middle and ring fingers I used my striper brush and my next thinnest brush. First I created the thin red lines then the wider ones with two stokes of my thin brush, then I painted the green line above them with my striper brush.
For my index and pinky I used my thin brush and did a "star" design then at the edge of every line I added some V shaped details; finally I added some tiny dots with my brush.

I really loved this design. I think it's a perfect Christmas design and it's not so in-your-face-holiday. I also really liked rocking them on my tiny nails, it was the only thing that made me feel better about my shorties :c
I hope you liked it and I'm gonna be sooner than you think for another Inspired By/Christmas nail art.

Ps.: Am I the only one that this Inspired By A Color sounds a lot like Sesame Street's "Today was brought to you by coloooor RED and letter R!" lol

31DC2013 Day 20: Water Marble

Hello there glittery criatures of Planet Earth, it's almost Friday!!
Today is water marble day and I have to say I had an exhausting time with this one. I'm not very good at it and about a year ago I was obsessed with Colette's videos from My Simple Little Pleasures. I wasted a TON of nail polish, so for this particular challenge I decided to buy cheap ones from Wal-Mart since a friend had told me once they worked pretty good and they're only $10 pesos which is less than a dollar. I picked up a violet and green one and decided to give China Glaze Shower Together a go since I remember it worked and I hadn't used it in a while.
So yeah I did like eight attemps and only like six were the ones used for my both hands. It was all messy and took a long time but here it is.

Sooo technically the polishes I used are so cheap they didn't even had a name lol but the blue is China Glaze Shower Together and my white base is Nina French White.

Also, that beautiful glitter is Finger Paints Peacock Portrait. Look at those colors!! I saw it at Sally and couldn't help buying it instantly! Finger Paints has some really awesome glitters and this is definitely one of those.

Some more love to that glitter...

I liked the final result and was very happy to wear it. Also, Peacock Portrait is a glitter that will easily go to my most-used stash! The colors are so beautiful that I specifically tried to use the same colors and I'm telling you in person it looked pretty good.
Hope you enjoyed this and I'll see on my next post;) As I said before, the next part of the challenge it's all gonna be Inspired By Christmas... Song, Movie, Book, etc. I'm so looking forward to start it!

31DC2013 Day 4: Green Nails!

Hello, lacquered beauties! I'm sorry for the delay but it was a long weekend here in Mexico and I couldn't bring myself to post but I'm here now!!
I also have bad news (for myself). After a tough battle with my dog that didn't want to go outside I accidentaly broke my index finger nail and by break I mean really break. Like completely. Didn't hurt a lot but I had to cut all my other nails to match... :( I still left my right nails long but stiiiiiiil :'(
Anyways I'm still having a hard time accepting this, but maybe it's for the best. My thumb nail had yellowed and my other nails where starting to too, don't know why since I use two coats of base coat and don't use colors that tend to yellow my nails a lot, besides, my right nails aren't yellow at all!

Well, before all that drama happened I did the green day on saturday! I decided to go veeeery simple because the color I used didn't need a lot more. When I first thought of green I could only think of this majestic color.

For this mani I used China Glaze Running In Circles and for my accent nails China Glaze Graffiti Glitter over China Glaze Swing Baby.

Srsly the pictures don't make any justice to this beautiful glimmery green that's gorgeous on its own (besides, I own a really crappy camera so...).
On a side note, I love LOVE the green glitter with black bar and circle glitter combo in Graffiti Glitter!

Now, with much more sad news here are my chopped nails :'(

I mean, look at the difference!! :'( I'm gonna go to sleep and hope to dream about longer nails that can last forever.

Hope you liked this subtle and simple mani for the fourth day of the 31 Day Challenge! I'm already working on day five and I'll be posting tomorrow, so... see you soon, loves!!

Circus Dots!

Hi, there colorful butterflies!! Happy friday!! I hope you have lots of plans for this weekend, I only have a party for some friends that are leaving town, whom I'll miss LOTS:(

Well, today I've got this colorful circus-inspired nail art that made me think about clowns and zebras with mohawks on their heads ( kidding I don't like circus with animals): ). Anyways the color combo really felt like a circus on my hands and was very eye-catching and fun.

My base color is a very soft and rpetty pink (didn't have name, sorry), the blue is China Glaze For Audrey, the green is China Glaze Running in Circles, the red-ish orange is China Glaze Roguish Red and the yellow is Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow.

I simply painted my nails with two coats of my base color, let it dry and with my small and large dotting tool I places my dots in a upside down V shape... kinda.

One more pic just for the heck of it;)

I hope you liked this nail art, cause I sure enjoyed wearing it!! Haha, see you tomorrow with another nail art and getting ready for the 31 Day Challenge!!! *squeals* This will be fun! I'm already thinking my nail art!! :D
Have a great friday!! TGIF!;)

New Year's Nail Art

Hello, gorgeous lacquered loves! I hope you're all having a great day and an excellent begin of the year!! Well, here I am presenting you the nail art I wore for NYE; I actually did this last friday and I didn't think it would survive to see NYE, but it did and I loved it.
It's simple but classy and the glitter is sooo holidays and sooo New Year!! lol, well here it is.

The colors I used are China Glaze Cranberry Splash, China Glaze Running in Circles, and China Glaze Glitter All The Way. It's an easy and simple tape manicure, but it looks so classy!

I'm not holding any bottle on these photos cause I wasn't home when I took them, but I tried my best not to make my hands look awkward. :)

I hope you liked it and you all have my best wishes for this new year:)

Love, Pam♥
